- Start > Control Panel > Network and Internet > Connect to a Network > Open Network and sharing center > Set up a new connection or network
- Connect to a workplace > Next > Use my Internet connection (VPN) > Next > Internet address: vpn1.hideway.eu and check "Don't connect now ..." > Next > Enter username and password > Create > Close
- Connect to a network > Right-click the connection you have just created > Properties
- Open "Security" > Type of VPN: Point to Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP) > Allow these protocols: UNcheck "Challenge Handshake Authentication Protocol (CHAP)" > OK.
- Choose "Connect to a workplace" again > click on the connection > Connect
- Enter username and password, establish connection by clicking "Connect".
NOTE:
Error 691: Enter username and password correct again.
Error 741: Change the VPN-typ as described above.
Error 769: On the "General" tab in the "Properties" menu of the connection, change the hostname from "vpn1.hideway.eu" to "83.65.30.29".
