I downloaded the OpenVPN GUI but when I right click on it I just get a small menu
that says:

Proxy settings (see attached screenshot)
About
Exit

And the installation FAQ in hideway webpage says I should see "connect"
somewhere I dont see it anywhere, I tried filling in the proxy settings
and nothing.

I cant make it work.

To be honest. we haven't tested OpenVPN on Vista 64 yet.

I would ask you to try the same procedure as for XP 64 (described on https://www.hideway.eu/menu.php/install.html )
You may start with paragraph 3, as you have already installed the program itself. It's probably just a matter of the location of the configuration files.

I didnt try it, I already uninstalled everything as I do not have the time
to do it now and have lots of work to do...

UPDATE:

Hidway installer version 2 now fully supports 64 bit systems.

Thanks for update those are good news, I may give hideway a try again
once the subscription to the other VPN I use runs out.
