I was using openvpn also manually without openvpn setup in Vista SP1 very fine and high speed, but aftet updating my windows vista using windows update service i could not connect to hideway vpn and any other vpn provider.

i believe it is about service pack 2 , because i didn't change any setting.

in other computer i can use openvpn in windows7 fine.

do you have any suggestion to solve problem with vista service pack 2 ?
i did everything .... but problem still remain.

a question just to make sure, have you tried to reinstall the whole program after your Vista SP2 update?

If not, please try to download and install the OpenVPN GUI software as described on our homepage:
Installation - How to

If you still face any issues, you may also want to try downloading the latest build from the creators homepage and install the configuration key pack manually later like described here:
Re: problem for download OpenVPN GUI

Should the above fail to solve your issue, please post any error message you may see when starting the program or trying to establish a connection.

I did everything that you said but my problem still remain.

I saw the same problem in another VPN provider in their website: https://www.relakks.com/news.php?cid=gb
but  they mentioned SP1.

" "Due to a problem with SP1 for VISTA your VPN connection will no longer work.
You need to uninstalled SP1 and the VPN connection works fine again.
Now let's see when Microsoft fixes this bug and release a hotfix."

finally any solution didn't work for me.

i decided to install new windows 7 instead of bad vista!

now i use vpn fine and much better than bad vista.
