Optionally, you may now use Hideway's anonymity service without the requirement to install OpenVPN - by simply using the PPTP-Protocol which is pre-installed in most operating systems. This is mainly recommended for platforms which do not support OpenVPN (mobile phones, iPhone etc.) as OpenVPN is still providing the highest encryption level.
If you decide to use PPTP it is important to choose a new, secure password in our
customer's area. The security level of a PPTP connection very much depends on the quality of the chosen password.
